
This 2 hour online workshop provides an opportunity to learn more about and discuss problems with sleep. Learn how sleep cycles work, and discover strategies to help improve our sleep and overall wellbeing. The workshops also provides the benefit of peer support from others facing similar difficulties.

Stress and worry can have a profound impact on our bodies, minds, and emotions. When left unmanaged, chronic stress can contribute to serious health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. It can also lead to anxiety, depression, and feelings of being overwhelmed.
This course offers a range of practical self-help strategies to help you recognize, understand, and manage stress and worry effectively. Alongside these tools, you will have the opportunity to engage in peer support, sharing experiences with others who understand what you're going through. The goal of the course is to reduce the negative effects of stress and worry while improving your overall mental health and wellbeing.

Mindfulness for Everyday Living
In the rush of daily life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, distracted, or stuck in autopilot. Mindfulness offers a way to slow down, reconnect with the present moment, and cultivate a greater sense of calm and clarity.

YOGA WELLBEING GROUP Starting 25th of April 2025.
Face to Face at the Shekinah Grow, Preston Down Road, Paignton, TQ3 1DL.
We invite you to start a new journey of self-discovery with BeWell@StepOne with our 6-week wellbeing beginners YOGA program offering many benefits, both physical and psychological, embracing the philosophy of Chinese medicine, and new in these sessions will be a greater focus on Yin. Latest inclusions will encourage consideration of longer, deeper stretches and rehabilitation, attuning to the parasympathetic nervous system to a greater degree. We will look at relaxing (pranayama) with muscle relaxation (yoga nidra) alongside meditation.
The sessions are aimed at all abilities regardless of age/health status, with an aim of inclusivity*. All postures will be adapted, and different levels will exist to incorporate everyone in the group.
· An experienced Fitness Instructor qualified in Level 3 Yoga as well as Pilates, having a degree in Exercise, Science & Fitness. Yoga Accredited by the PCI.
· A qualified First Aider and risk assessed venue with Public Liability Insurance
· In person course, making new connections
· Commitment of 1 hour per week, over 6 weeks.
· Good quality cushioned mats are provided
· Gentle ambient music will support sessions over a related sound system.

Our 'Managing Your Anger' 4 week course allows you to consider the emotions underneath your anger, looks at the cycles of anger and helps to develop coping strategies to understand and manage anger in a healthier way. This isn’t necessarily about making anger disappear, but managing anger in a healthy and controlled way.
The course involves attending 4 weekly 2 hr sessions each running from 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Aligned with this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme, this workshop will emphasise the power of connection and how nurturing relationships can improve mental wellbeing.
